2018 Central Illinois USBC Hall Of Fame Inductees

 

JEAN CISCO – OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE 

Jean started bowling in the 1988-89 season with an average of 164. Jean’s composite average
of 193 of her 10 high averages.
Jean’s tournament participation for the association tournament is, 2001 a scratch trio title Jean had 636 scratch, 2013 a trio handicap title, 2014 a team title for both sides, and again in 20155 person scratch champion and Senior division singles champ scratch with 632 and in 2016 won a bunch 5 person team trio team scratch and handicap Senior and regular singles titles for scratch and handicap with 660 scratch and to top it off a handicap All-Events title with 660, 606, 594 scratch scores plus handicap a total of 2109. From what I found Jean’s high game and series was 266 and a 719.
Jean’s best Round the Town finishes were a sixth, tenth and a eighth.
Jean also served as a director on the SWBA board or eight years.
The Central Illinois USBC welcomes Jean Cisco into the Hall of Fame.

SHAWN REED – OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

Shawn has been bowling in Springfield since 1999. Shawn’s composite average is 232 with a high
of 241 twice once in the 2011-12 season and again in the 2014-2015 season.
Shawn’s performance in the Association tournament has earned him two titles a Doubles title with a 791 in that and a 2248 for All-Events both in the 2012 tournament.
Shawn has a State team title also in 2003 winning both sides of that.
Shawn’s best Round the Town finishes are a second in 2018 averaging 239, a sixth in 2015, and a thirteenth in 2017.
Shawn’s honor score just in Springfield are twelve 800 series with 868 the high in 2012 and 857 in 2013. the perfecto’s are 12 300 games over the years, with four 299’s and eight eleven in a row. There are many more scores that were bowled in other associations.

LISA TIMM – OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

From the records, Lisa started bowling the 2001-2002 season at Spillway Lanes, averaging 186. Her composite average of the ten highest seasons is 213. She reached her highest average of 219 twice, in the 2011-2012 and the 2012-2013 seasons. Since she began bowling at Show1ime Lanes three years ago, she has had the high women’s average in the center each year with a 199, 213, and 212 average. Lisa’s tournament record includes a tie for 20th place in the Women’s International Bowling Congress National Tournament that was held in Reno in 2003. Lisa won the Queen of the Hill tournament in 2007 at New North Lanes in Taylorville. She was the Trio Scratch Champion in 2008 with Amy Young and Traci Stoops and they were the Trio Scratch and Handicap Champions in 2009, with Lisa having a 633 series. Lisa and partner Amy Young were the 2011 600 Club Handicap Doubles Champions. She contributed a 664 series as a member of the five-person team winning the Scratch and Handicap Team Title in 2012. Lisa’s teammates included Tammy Jones, Kathy Stade, Chris Ruddock, and Linda Carter who together shot 3306 and 3369. In 2013, Lisa’s team placed first in the scratch four-person team event. That same year, Lisa’s 771 series earned her the Central Illinois Scratch Singles title. In 2014, she was the 600 Club Singles Champion. Lisa earned the 600 Club Bowler of the Year award for the 2013-2014 season averaging 217. She won the Handicap All-Events Title in the Women’s City Tournament in 2015. In 2017, Lisa and her teammates Traci Stoops, Shannon Shofner, and Jennifer Stone shot 2085 and won the four-person Women’s Scratch team title in the 1st Annual Association Tournament. Lisa, along with partner Tela Armstrong, were the Central Illinois Scratch Doubles Champions that same year, with a series of 1398.
Lisa has made the All-Star team eight times. She has made both the first and second team four times. This year Lisa is the Captain for the first time.
Lisa has participated in the Round the Town Tournament consecutively for over 10 years. She has won the Division II Championship. In 2007, Lisa shot her highest four game total of 1004 and went on to shoot 3759 for the tournament, averaging 234, and becoming the Division I Champion.
Lisa has had four 300 games, a 299, a 298, and four 11 in a row. Lisa’s latest 300 came on August 30th, 2018 at Show1ime Lanes. Lisa threw 22 strikes in a row and had games of 300,289, and 226 for an 815 series. This was Lisa’s first 800 series. Lisa was the second female to shoot 300 at Showtime Lanes and the first to shoot an 800 series.
Lisa has also served as President of the Ladies Trio Classic League at King Pin for the past 5 years. This is Lisa’s third year as President of the Springfield Women’s 600 Club.


ROBERT COLE- OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

Bob started his bowling in 1993 with a 196 average. His composite average for the last ten season’s is 212 with 241 the high in the 2008-09 season.
Bob’s Tournament stats are for the association tournament are four titles, 2006 with 779 and 2010 singles with 814. 2013 doubles scratch and handicap with Brian Collins Bob had 704. 2016 team both sides with 3648 .. Members were Matt Burdick, Ray Silveri Jr., Jeremy Grigg and Kenny Micheletta.
The Central Illinois Bob has two team titles2009 scratch with 3760 and 2012 scratch with 3754 Members were Matt Burdick, Ray Silveri Jr., Jeremy Grigg and Kenny Micheletta.
Bob earned a scratch team championship with 3414 in the 2010 State tournament members were Matt Burdick, Ray Silveri Jr., Jeremy Grigg and Kenny Micheletta HMM seems like a pattern.
The Round the town a best in 2007 a second averaging 240 for the tournament. Other finishes were 2006 a fifth, 2009 a third and a fifteenth in 2010.
Bob has competed in 22 USBC Opens with a high game of 300 and a 664 series. The 2014
USBC tournament Bob’s team had a 1200 game and a 3191 series.
The game and series stats for Bob are fifty-one 300 games, five 299, four 298 and twenty three eleven in a row and twenty six 800 series with 867 the high twice 2002 and 2010.
Bob has other tournament titles to his credit,2010 700 club doubles with Matt Burdick, 2010 Tournament of Champions title, 2012 Effingham Silver Dollar Classic team scratch 3468, Taylorville cross town title, a Roll for the Dough.
Other notables are 2008/09 All-Star Individual Classic champion. Held the city record at one time for
4 game series of 1136. 2008/09 5 person team series of 3760 eighth in nation that season. In 2013/14 season 3 person team game 857 3rd in nation Bob had 300 game and team series of 3087 a city record.
Those above are proof that he has the credentials to be a Hall of Farner

*ALBERT COLE – VETERAN BOWLER

Al first started bowling in the 1966-67 season in 3 leagues 2 at the old Spillway and one at The Bowl. his averages were 171,167 at Spillway and 156 at the Bowl. Al’s highest were 206 in the 1999-200 season and 201 in 1997-1998 season.
Al had two honor score’s in his career a 300 in the All-Star Individual Classic in December of 2009. The 299 game was at King Pin in 1994.
Al participated in many leagues during his career always enjoying the company of his fellow bowlers and team mates.
We welcome Albert Cole on his induction into the Central Illinois USBC Hall of Fame.
