BASIC HISTORY INVOLVING THE EVENT

1965 – Springfield Women’s Bowling Association became involved with the Hall of Fame.
1971 – Started a pre-cocktail hour. gave trophies for the high average each establishment.
1978 – Eliminated the pre-cocktail hour. Start of the 50-50 drawing program.
1980 – Eliminated awarding high average trophies, changed to recognition in the program.
1985 – Eliminated free ticket for All-star team. Instead, two tickets to Hall of Fame inductees.
1992 – GSBA presents one gratis ticket to each current male member of the Hall of Fame.
1997 – GSBA presents one gratis ticket to members of previous season All-Star team.
